Your Support is Vital to Our Mission!

Thanks to your generous donations and spreading the word, we successfully raised funds last year to cover our full-time band director position this year. We appreciate you!

The need for your support continues, so that FOWM can continue to support WMS’ music programs, as we have since 1995. FOWM is a parent-led volunteer nonprofit that supports much of WMS’ Music Program’s infrastructure and operations. We provide funding for clinicians, supplemental instructors, after-school classes, instruments, instrument repair, sheet music, field trips, and continuing education for the Band and Orchestra Directors.

WMS’ Music Program is recognized as one of the state’s top middle school music programs. WMS ensembles have earned top honors at regionals and festivals, including:

• Jazz Band – 2025 Bellevue High School Jazz finalist; festival champions in 2023

• Orchestra – 1st in 2025, 2nd in 2024 & 2026 -  Music in the Parks Festival

• Concert Band & Concert Orchestra – Superior ratings, 2025 Elliott Bay Music Educators Association Festival

• Concert Band - 1st, Best Overall, & Most Spirited - 2025 Music in the Parks Festival

Your help ensures WMS’ Music Program will continue to thrive!
